| | The Gatherer of Light Writing/Poem: | Like some tired leaf of Autumn
He spent his Springtime days waxing strong
Greening into the length of Summer
Gathering every sun ray gatherable
Tenaciously clinging to his umbilical twig
Holding, holding, holding on
Until the last possible moment
Parrying the gusts of Fall
Thirsting from the chilly nights
Choking the life-giving flow
Of Earths sweet drink
Fading the green, revealing the gold
That had always been there
He let go, silently, gracefully
F...A...L...L...I...N...G
Into the open arms of the rich Earth
That had given him birth
He will return... again and again.
